Summer 2014 only recently arrived, but the fashion world is already looking to Summer 2015. Burberry Prorsum just released their Womenswear Spring/Summer 2015 Pre-Collection, which is inspired by covers from old poetry books that Christopher Bailey (Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer) found in flea markets. Full of texture and a wide range of materials (think military cotton twill, corded lace, dégradé dip-dye, and screen-printed leather), the collection has plenty of eye-catching statement pieces. Among classic silhouettes like pencil skirts, trench coats, and gathered-hem dresses, you’ll find intricate detail like hand-drawn bold illustrations, hand-dipped petal sequins, and hand-stitched silk petals.
If any of these items strike a chord with you, may we suggest embracing the phrase “Good things come to those who wait”? The collection is expected to be available late 2014/early 2015.
