Today’s look may seem like a mishmash of closet confections, but believe it or not, it’s organized chaos.  I decided to pull together a look that’s not based on brands, trends, a glossy magazine shoot, or the latest Pantone colour of the year – this look is pulled together because each piece makes me happy in one way or another:

Dream Weave Pouch – I purchased this summer surf clutch right after a recent tropical vacation when I was missing the sand and sun. I love the muted colours, soft material, and roomy interior of this pouch; whenever I see it, it reminds me of my happy place on the beach (without the UV rays).

Denim Button-Down – This top screams me. Minimal colour, the smallest hint of sparkle and a strong cut make me feel like myself in it.  It also happened to cost $10 – who doesn’t love a denim button-up that costs less than lunch!?

Basic Black Jeans – They are one of my favourite pairs of denim and I basically feel like I’m wearing pyjamas all day.

Pink Boots – Just look at these pink puddle jumpers. How can I not be happy when I look down at them!? In addition to their vibrant hue, they are lightweight and waterproof, making them perfect for Raincouver.
