One of the great things about living in Vancouver is the mild winters. While many of my friends and family are lacing up their winter boots, shovelling snow, and scraping their windshields, I’m toting an umbrella and figuring out the best way to tuck my skinny jeans into rain boots. The Vancouver rain certainly isn’t for everyone, but I’d take it over snow any day.
This winter has been exceptionally mild and dry, and I’ve been taking full advantage of it. I’ve continued to wear many of my favourite fall pieces throughout winter (like my Helmut Lang jacket that I scored for $126), and when necessary, layering to keep warm.
But why stop there? Thankfully for sun-lovers like myself, spring collections are starting to hit store shelves, signalling that there really is light (sun?) at the end of the tunnel. While lazy beach days are still a while away, that doesn’t mean that we can’t start incorporating some of these new collections into our daily wear (like my Spring/Summer 2014 mules).
I say, if the spring shoe fits (and there’s no rain or snow), wear it.
