When it comes to fashion, I’m pretty clear on my vices: oversized purses, statement necklaces, and luxury basics – or so I thought. During a recent cleaning spree, I pulled out all my boots and made a shocking discovery: I have an exorbitant amount of black boots. This wasn’t something that I consciously planned, but somehow, one by one, black combat boots, riding boots, booties, Chelsea boots, and biker boots have tiptoed their way into my closet.
The latest addition to my BB (black boot) collection is the Pistekova boot by Shellys London. Starting out in the 1940s as a small family-run company, Shellys London boots are funky, full of attitude, and definitely come with kick. My Pistekova boots feature a metallic cap toe, combat-inspired details, a sturdy sole, and grommet accents that combine to create a stylish and practical winter boot. These boots have quickly become my go-to weekend boot for a warm, laid back look with an edge.
For some, footwear is an afterthought; for me, it seems to be always somewhere in my subconscious.
