Blanche Macdonald is a renown school for makeup, fashion, hair, and aesthetics; like their students, the school is always improving and growing. Their recent growth spurt has expanded their downtown presence, and adds makeup/beauty boutique to their credentials.
Located in downtown Vancouver, the new Q & A hair salon and Curlique beauty store offers services at deeply discounted prices. Run by Senior Pro Hair Students at the college, the salon uses products like Bumble and Bumble, Oribe, and SACHAJUAN to style, cut, and dye hair.
All services are performed under the supervision of instructors, and the salon is open seven days a week. A shampoo and style is just $12, a woman’s hair cut is $14.50, and a full head of colour ranges from $45-$62. A list of services is available on their website, and they accept appointments online or by phone.
Brands like Make Up For Ever, Butter London, NYX, and Éminence Organics adorn the stylish walls of the beauty boutique, but the glamour doesn’t stop there. For the month of August, Curlique is offering free mini-manicures and makeovers every Friday and Saturday.
Since it’s a student-run facility, all students will actively be learning, so be sure to set aside ample time for your appointment. Call the school to book a service, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
