A look at NOMA Los Angeles, an organization that donates money to charity and has trend-driven collections using materials and techniques from artisans.

The women-owned and operated design-house has been featured on the Today ShowGood Morning America and CBS’s The Talk.  Specializing in apparel and accessories for women, NOMA creates trend-driven collections using materials and techniques from skilled artisans around the world to support communities and give back.

Shiraleah Handbags and Wallets, $169

10% of all profits from NOMA’s Shiraleah handbags and wallets are be donated to a center for disabled children in Hanoi, Vietnam.  Run by a medical team, the organization works to rehabilitate the children and reunite them with their families.   The wallets and handbags are fashioned from vegan leather (an animal-friendly material that is safer to produce), involves minimal toxic output, and is healthier for consumers to carry. 


NOMA Zig Zag Scarf, $125

During the month of April, twenty-five per cent of the profits from the NOMA Zig Zag Tassel Scarf were donated to the “Gift of Light” project, which installs solar lanterns in the homes of artisans in northern India.  By giving them the gift of light, the artisans and their families are able to work at home and their children are able to do homework after dark.
